An annual tradition, Tribute to Outstanding Women is YWCA La Crosse’s signature celebration of women who are making an extraordinary impact in the Coulee Region. Each year, we honor leaders who embody our mission of eliminating racism, empowering women, and advancing social justice for all.

  • Ticket sales will suspend two weeks prior to the event date.

  • Street parking and ramp parking are both available. The Market Square Parking Ramp is located on Jay Street (between 4th St. & 5th Ave). After 6pm on weekdays, parking on the ramp is free, however, if you or your party is planning on arriving before this time, you will need to register and pay for parking at the kiosk between the hours of 6 AM - 6PM.

  • Yes! The Court Above Main has wheelchair accessible entrances and has an elevator which will get you up to the third floor of the building for the event. Handicap parking spaces are also available.

  • Tribute to Outstanding Women is traditionally a business casual to semi-formal event, however, guests are encouraged to wear whatever makes them feel the most comfortable in the space.

A Silent Auction with a Purpose

Every bid makes a difference. Our Tribute to Outstanding Women Silent Auction raises critical funds to support YWCA La Crosse's mission to eliminate racism, empower women, and promote peace, justice, freedom, and dignity for all.

All proceeds help sustain programs that provide safe housing, early childhood education, restorative justice, youth homelessness services, and community support throughout our region.

The online auction opens approximately one month before the Tribute to Outstanding Women celebration and closes at the conclusion of the awards ceremony on Thursday, November 5, 2026. Bid early, bid often, and know that every winning bid helps create a stronger, more equitable community.

Auction FAQs

  • Whether or not you are planning on joining us at our annual Tribute to Outstanding Women event, you are welcome to bid on online items. We require all bidders to provide basic contact information so that if you win an item, we are able to get it to you. Event attendees are able to pick up winning baskets/items night-of if they are in attendance. Non-attendee winners will be contacted by our team to arrange a pick-up time.

  • Participating is easy! Our Silent Auction is hosted online through Givebutter, so you can browse items, place bids, and receive notifications from your computer or mobile device.

    The auction opens approximately one month before the Tribute to Outstanding Women event and remains open through the end of the awards ceremony on Thursday, November 5, 2026.

    You do not need to attend the event to participate. Whether you're joining us at Tribute to Outstanding Women or supporting us from home, everyone is welcome to bid. Create a Givebutter account (or sign in), register for the auction, and start bidding. If you're outbid, Givebutter will notify you so you can jump back in before the auction closes.

  • Bidding on silent auction items begins approximately one month before the date of the Tribute to Outstanding Women event. All bidders will be notified whether or not they have won the auction by the end of the bidding period on Thursday, November 5th, 2026 at 8:30pm.

  • Yes! We gratefully accept donations from businesses, organizations, and individuals. Whether you'd like to donate a gift basket, gift certificate, experience, artwork, handcrafted item, or another unique package, your contribution helps make our Silent Auction a success.

    Every donated item supports YWCA La Crosse's mission to eliminate racism, empower women, and promote peace, justice, freedom, and dignity for all. Proceeds from the auction help fund programs and services that strengthen our community.

    If you're attending the Tribute to Outstanding Women celebration on Thursday, November 5, 2026, you can pick up your winning items at the event following the awards ceremony.

    If you are not attending the event, we'll contact you after the auction closes with pickup instructions. Winning items must be picked up at a designated time and location unless other arrangements have been made.

    Please note that some items may have specific redemption instructions or restrictions, which will be included with the item or provided by the donor.

  • No. During checkout, Givebutter may ask if you'd like to leave an optional tip to support their fundraising platform. These tips go directly to Givebutter and help keep their platform available for nonprofits—they do not support YWCA La Crosse.

    If you would like to make an additional gift to YWCA La Crosse, you can do so by selecting the option to donate directly to our organization during checkout or by making a separate donation through our website. Every dollar given directly to YWCA La Crosse supports our mission to eliminate racism, empower women, and promote peace, justice, freedom, and dignity for all.

    The Givebutter platform tip is completely optional, and you may adjust or remove it before completing your payment.
